Hubs
1-Wire Hubs
All hubs provide a way to electrically segment the 1-wire network, allowing more complex topology and some protection against shorts in the branches. They differ in how they are presented in OWFS.
- DS2409-based hubs
- Not a bus master
- Provides sub-branches that are seen in the OWFS directory scheme (aux and main)
- 2 branches per DS2409, but usually packaged as 3 DS2409s in a 6-channel hub.
- Hobby Boards 4 Channel hub
- Not a bus master
- Can turn on and off individual branches
- 4 branches per hub
- EDS HA7Net
- Bus master (network)
- Branches not individually addressable
- 3 branches per hub
- EDS OW-SERVER-ENET
- Bus master (network)
- Branches not individually addressable
- 3 branches per hub
- EDS OW-SERVER-ENET-2
- Bus Master (network)
- Branches ARE indivudually addressable (support in progress)
- 3 branches per hub
