OWTAP persistence windows

Persistence is the process of keeping tcp connections open to make subsequent requests to owserver more efficient. It is well described here.

Details on the rate or persistent requests, and responses, as well as the number of transactions the occur before a new connection is made can be displayed:

Persistent connections

  • Persistence statistics are selected from the "View" menu.
  • Persistence rates is probably the more useful, showing the request rates, and granted rates of persistence.
  • The length of persistent connections is stored, but only a summary can be conveniently displayed.
